Dr. Antonio Cantu

Dr. Antonio Cantu
El Dr. Antonio Cantú nació y creció en Mission, Texas, y se enorgullece de servir a la comunidad que siempre ha llamado hogar. Después de graduarse de La Joya ISD en 2009, persiguió su pasión por la medicina veterinaria estudiando Pre-Veterinaria en Texas A&M University–Kingsville. Posteriormente asistió a la Facultad de Medicina Veterinaria de St. George’s University en Granada y completó su formación clínica en Texas A&M University en College Station, donde obtuvo su título de Doctor en Medicina Veterinaria.
Desde muy joven, el Dr. Cantú soñaba con convertirse en veterinario y regresar al Valle del Río Grande para cuidar de los animales de su comunidad. Ese sueño se hizo realidad con la creación de South Texas Veterinary Care. El Dr. Cantú se dedica a brindar medicina compasiva y de alta calidad mientras construye relaciones duraderas con las familias y las mascotas a las que sirve.
Iliana Cantu

Iliana Cantu
Iliana Cantú nació en Hidalgo, Texas, y creció en Reynosa, Tamaulipas. Cuenta con más de 10 años de experiencia en administración de consultorios y gestión regional en el campo dental, donde desarrolló una gran pasión por el liderazgo, la organización y la atención al cliente. Cuando surgió la oportunidad de ayudar a construir South Texas Veterinary Care, Iliana se entusiasmó por llevar su experiencia en administración al campo veterinario y formar parte de la creación de un hospital acogedor y de alta calidad para la comunidad.
Como Gerente de Práctica, Iliana se dedica a garantizar que la clínica funcione sin problemas y a brindar una experiencia excepcional a cada cliente y paciente. Fuera de la clínica, es una orgullosa madre de tres hijos y una cariñosa dueña de dos perros que son una parte importante de su familia.
Gloria Marquez
Representante de Servicio al Cliente
Gloria Marquez
Gloria nació en McAllen, Texas, y creció en Peñitas, Texas. Se enorgullece de servir a la comunidad que considera su hogar. Con más de siete años de experiencia en servicio al cliente, Gloria se dedica a crear una experiencia acogedora, compasiva y positiva para cada cliente y paciente que entra por nuestras puertas. Habla inglés y español con fluidez, lo que le permite conectar y apoyar a una amplia variedad de familias.
Fuera de su puesto en STVC, Gloria cuenta con una licenciatura en Justicia Criminal con una especialización secundaria en Estudios Legales y actualmente está cursando su maestría, la cual espera completar en 2027.
Sarahi Medrano

Sarahi Medrano
Sarahi nació en McAllen, Texas, y creció en Mission, Texas. Se enorgullece de servir a la comunidad que considera su hogar. Como miembro bilingüe del equipo, se dedica a garantizar que cada cliente y paciente se sienta bienvenido, comprendido y atendido.
Con más de 7 años de experiencia en cuidado veterinario, aporta un enfoque compasivo y orientado a los detalles en cada interacción. Su compromiso con la atención al paciente y la experiencia del cliente refleja los altos estándares y valores de South Texas Veterinary Care.
Fuera del trabajo, es una esposa dedicada y orgullosa mamá de su princesa. También tiene su propio negocio de fotografía, donde captura momentos significativos y crea recuerdos duraderos para las familias.
Está verdaderamente emocionada de servirle a usted, a sus mascotas y a toda la comunidad como parte del equipo de STVC. Espera seguir creciendo, sirviendo y marcando la diferencia junto a su equipo.
Arantxa Cantu

Arantxa Cantu
Arantxa brings 4 years of experience as an Emergency Veterinary Technician, where she has developed a strong passion for patient care and helping pets during their most critical moments.
She has a special love for reptiles and exotic animals and enjoys working with the wide variety of unique species seen in veterinary medicine. Arantxa is also currently attending college as she continues pursuing her goal of a career in veterinary medicine.
One of her many unique talents is that she speaks four languages, allowing her to connect with and assist a diverse range of clients and patients within our community.
Her dedication to learning, growing, and providing compassionate care makes her a wonderful addition to our team. We are excited to have someone who shares our commitment to helping pets and the people who love them.
Osvaldo Gallegos

Osvaldo Gallegos
Osvaldo brings over 7 years of experience in veterinary medicine and has developed a special passion for dermatology and dental care. His dedication to patient care, attention to detail, and love for helping animals make him a wonderful addition to our clinic.
Outside of the clinic, Osvaldo enjoys spending time outdoors through hiking, hunting with his dogs, and other outdoor adventures. Fun fact: he is also talented at sewing and enjoys cooking for family and friends!
As a bilingual team member, Osvaldo is excited to help serve and connect with even more families throughout our community.

With an incredible 25 years of experience as a veterinary technician, Jackie brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and dedication to every patient and family she serves. Throughout her career, she has built a strong foundation in veterinary medicine and credits her previous employers and mentors for helping shape the technician she is today.
Jackie is passionate about providing exceptional patient care while creating meaningful relationships with both pets and their owners. Her positive attitude, teamwork, and commitment to excellence make her a wonderful addition to our hospital.
Outside of the clinic, Jackie’s greatest joy is spending time with her children, who are the center of her world. She’s known for her fun personality, quick wit, and sense of humor, while also knowing when it’s time to focus and deliver the highest level of care. And here’s a fun fact—you’ll never want to challenge Jackie to a friendly competition! She enjoys a little gambling and loves the thrill of competition, a reflection of her drive to always give her very best.
Dani

Dani brings nearly 10 years of experience in veterinary medicine, with a background in both client service and patient care. As a bilingual team member, she is proud to assist both English- and Spanish-speaking families, ensuring every client feels comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their pet’s care.
One of Dani’s favorite areas of veterinary medicine is surgery. She finds it incredibly rewarding to be part of procedures that improve a patient’s health and well-being, and she takes pride in helping guide patients through their recovery. She is also passionate about preventative care, believing that keeping pets healthy before problems arise is one of the most important aspects of veterinary medicine.
Outside of the clinic, Dani dedicates her time to helping stray and homeless dogs throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Her compassion for animals extends far beyond the hospital walls, and she is committed to positively impacting our community.
